The Masterclass
Twelve shades, the full color spectrum.

How many colors do you need to create all possible shades? By studying visual perception for years, the Neve Cosmetics creative team isolated 12 of them: the ones to make all the others in the form of makeup.

Cyan, Magenta, Yellow.
(PRIMARY COLORS)
The primary colors at the origin of the pictorial and printing four-color process. Mixed together they can potentially recreate any color gradation.

Black, White.
(BLACK AND WHITE)
The basis of chiaroscuro: the deepest black and the purest white. To be added to other colors to darken or lighten, extending the creative possibilities to infinity.

Red, Green, Blue.
(SECONDARY COLORS)
The secondary colors at the basis of the additive theory, are the same ones that form the pixels on smartphones and tv screens.
Red is a blend of Magenta and Yellow, Green is a blend of Cyan and Yellow, and Blue is a blend of Cyan and Magenta.
In The Masterclass palette, the secondaries exist as pure hues, without interference, to create yet other shades: Yellow and Red create orange, Magenta and Blue create purple, and Green and Cyan create turquoise...

Brighten, Desaturate.
(LIGHT AND OPACITY)
Add brilliant reflections and transform shades into sparkling mulrichromes with a veil of Brighten on top.
Or do the exact opposite with Desaturate: its velvety gray mutes the colors adding elegance and mystery.

Soften, Bistre.
(SKINTONE NEUTRALS)
A soft translucent light beige and an intense and silky brown, ideal for nude looks.
The intermediate shades to seamlessly blend out even the brightest colors.

The Masterclass palette includes a color map, a tool that makes reproducing the color of anything super easy.
Just bring the chosen object close to the map, find the corresponding color square, and identify the immediately closer main shades: they are exactly the ones that can be mixed to recreate it.
